Fall and Halloween

Since school has started back I have been busy working on some table skirts for a few of the teachers. Here are a couple fall and Halloween designs. I am hoping to finish the table skirts in the next few days. I have a long list of things to work on!

I really like this bat applique for older boys for Halloween. I added the words. You can also add a name is you wish.

I love this Frankstein head! Another great one for an older boy.

Witches Shoe Applique

I love this applique!! I did the zig zag stitch finish, but it also comes in a satin stitch finish. I can't wait to use this for Annamarye!

Tissue Holder and Fall

Last year I went to Christmas Village for the first time and bought some small tissue holders as gifts. I knew there had to be a pattern and a way to make them using my embroidery machine. It took a while, but I finally found a design!

They are so easy to make!! They are great small gifts and would be great stocking stuffers!
Candy Corn applique - great for Fall and Thanksgiving!

Pumpkin Applique - another one that is great for Fall, Halloween and Thanksgiving!

Hodge Podge

Here are a few others things I have done lately. I did this towel for a friend to give to her summer babysitter. I just love the pink and lime green!

I did these towels for my niece's new apartment.

I did this apron for my niece as well.

Back to School

I can't believe it is back to school time! Where has the summer gone?! My niece started her first year of teaching today! She is teaching 2ND grade in Tuscaloosa. The theme of the entire school this year is jungle. I made a few things for her classroom to help her get started!

She has two windows, so I made a simple green and white gingham valance for each one.

Right now this chair is in her apartment. It will soon be in her classroom, so I made this cushion.
I also made 22 of these chair pockets (chair backs). They were so easy to make! I found free directions online. I used a lightweight denim fabric so they would last and not show dirt. She has 17 children in her class right now, so that gives her a few extras.

Of course James and Annamarye wanted one after seeing Lanie's chair pockets. Here's what they picked out:

I have been working on some fall designs I will be posting later this week!
