Ready for Summer!

I have done a ton of this alligator! It is so cute and easy!

I love this sand bucket - even though the buckets are slightly tilted! It took me a while to get used to that. I love it because you have so many colors so it will go with anything. And you can make the colors more girlish or boyish. It is technically an applique, but I like it just on the white background of the shirt.
You can never go wrong with a crab for summer!! This is another one that is great for a boy or girl!

Back from Spring Break!

I am back from a great Spring Break vacation. You can read all about it here. I picked up my machine and it works! And they didn't charge me! Yea!

I am finally caught up on laundry, ironing and getting things back to normal at home. I am ready to get back to work on spring and summer stuff! Keep watching for pictures.

On Vacation!

I am officially on vacation! I am taking spring break off to hang out and play with the kids! Besides, I took my machine back to the store yesterday afternoon to have the thread cutter repaired. So I can't work right now anyway. I did have time to do a couple of things before I took it back. I did a swirly Mickey Mouse t-shirt for me and I finished a baby gift - bib and a Vera Bradley bag.

Check back after Spring Break for Easter and Summer stuff!

Good News Bad News

The good news is I took my machine the other day and picked it up yesterday. I took it because the timing was off - it wasn't picking up the bobbin thread. That works fine, but the bad news is now the thread cutter doesn't work. I can still use it, but just have to cut the thread each time. So I will take it back tomorrow. I sure hope they don't expect me to pay to have it fixed! Gotta go get a few things done before taking it back tomorrow.

Majorette

Here's the majorette embroidery design on a t-shirt I did for my niece. I have shirts for my niece Claire, and one for Annamarye so they will all match. Unfortunately I am currently without a machine. I almost cried Friday night when I went to work on the shirts. My machine isn't reading/picking up the bobbin thread. I took it this morning to the shop. The man doesn't come in on Mondays, but will get to mine first thing tomorrow morning. She said I might get it back tomorrow afternoon! I hope so.

More Disney!

I saw this polka dot fabric at JoAnn Fabrics and had to use it for something Disney! Annamarye loved it and even asked to wear it skating tonight for skate night. Of course I said no. She is my messier one and I think I would cry if it got ruined before Disney!
Here's a pirate Mickey shirt for James. The red fabric has Mickey Mouse heads on it. I have enough fabric to make shorts if I have time.
This patchwork fabric also came from JoAnn Fabrics. The kids each have outfits using the patchwork fabric from Kelly's Kids last fall. I love it! I made this skirt this afternoon and did a quick applique t-shirt to go with it. I have some boyish color fabric to make some shorts for James. That is on the agenda for Thursday.

Majorette Design

After a year of searching I finally found a majorette embroidery design! I stitched out this sample and can't wait to put it on a shirt for Annamarye tomorrow!
